My journey with cars started at 16, building demolition derby cars alongside my dad. Watching those cars get destroyed after putting in all that work? That drove me to learn how to fix anything that could break.

After college, I earned my stripes from the ground up – starting as a lube technician at Hyundai and working my way to certified technician. When other techs wouldn’t touch a complex North Star engine reseal, I stepped up and completed it in half the expected time. That’s when management realized what I could do.

From there, I expanded my expertise at Subaru and Chevrolet, earning certifications and specialized training that many mobile mechanics simply don’t have. But after 15+ years in dealership settings, I saw something that bothered me: good people getting charged $2,000+ for brake jobs that I could do professionally for half that cost.

Building Something Bigger Than Myself

As a single father of two teenage daughters here in Spokane, I founded Syphers Mobile Mechanic not just as a business, but as a legacy. The name ‘Syphers’ opens doors for others and creates something my girls can be proud of long after I’m gone.

My goal has always been simple: to serve the Spokane community with the same quality work dealerships provide, but with honest pricing and the convenience of coming to you. Whether it’s a SpoFI alumni needing brake work or a busy family wanting maintenance done at home, I believe everyone deserves reliable service without the dealership markup.
