We generally serve customers within approximately a 20+ mile radius of Spokane, with extended mobile service available to select areas of Eastern Washington and North Idaho.

Yes. Sypher’s Mobile Mechanic is ASE-certified and brings more than 15 years of professional automotive experience to customers throughout Greater Spokane. Our goal is to provide dealership-quality diagnostics and repairs with the convenience of mobile service.

We service a wide variety of domestic, import, European, and diesel vehicles, including cars, SUVs, pickup trucks, vans, and many commercial fleet vehicles. We work on makes including Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge/Ram, Toyota, Honda, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volvo, Volkswagen, Fiat, Saab and many others.

No. Sypher’s Mobile Mechanic does NOT service or repair semi-trucks. We do work on many passenger vehicles, pickup trucks, diesel trucks, vans, and qualifying commercial fleet vehicles. If you are unsure whether we can service your specific vehicle, call us at (509) 218-0157 before scheduling.

Yes. We provide professional mobile diesel diagnostics and repairs for many diesel pickup trucks, vans, cars, and qualifying commercial fleet vehicles. We do not work on semi-trucks. Contact us with your year, make, model, and engine so we can confirm service availability.

Yes. Sypher’s Mobile Mechanic specializes in European vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repair, including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volvo, Volkswagen, Fiat and Saab. We use specialized diagnostic equipment and professional repair techniques to provide an alternative to taking your European vehicle to the dealership.

Yes. We offer professional mobile vehicle diagnostics throughout the Greater Spokane area. We can scan vehicle systems, troubleshoot warning lights, investigate performance problems, and help determine the underlying cause rather than simply replacing parts based on a trouble code.

Our comprehensive diagnostic inspection is $150 and includes professional diagnostic testing and an assessment of the vehicle. When you approve the recommended repair, the $150 diagnostic fee is credited toward the approved repair work.

Yes. Mobile brake repair is one of our specialties. Depending on the vehicle and repair required, we can perform brake inspections, brake pad replacement, rotor replacement, and other brake system repairs right at your home, office, or another appropriate location.

Yes. We provide mobile suspension diagnostics and repair, including diagnosing noises, vibration, handling concerns, and worn suspension components. We also provide wheel bearing diagnostics and repair for many vehicles.

Yes. Sypher’s Mobile Mechanic can diagnose and repair many starter, alternator, charging, and starting-system problems at your location. We can test the system first to help determine whether the battery, starter, alternator, wiring, or another component is actually causing the problem.

Yes. We provide professional automotive electrical diagnostics and repair for many domestic, import, European, and diesel vehicles. Electrical problems can have many possible causes, so proper testing is important before replacing expensive components.

Yes. We can handle many common preventive maintenance services at your location, including oil changes, filter replacement, fluid services, inspections, and other routine maintenance. Mobile maintenance is especially convenient for busy families and businesses that don't want to spend hours waiting at a repair shop.

In many cases, yes. If your car or truck won't start, we can come to your location and diagnose common starting problems involving the battery, starter, alternator, electrical system, fuel system, and other components. Call us and describe what the vehicle is doing so we can determine whether mobile service is appropriate.

Yes. One of the biggest advantages of using a mobile mechanic is convenience. As long as there is a safe and appropriate location to perform the work, we may be able to service your vehicle at your home, workplace, driveway, or another suitable location.

Our published labor rates vary depending on the type of vehicle and specialized expertise required. Current rates are $120/hour for domestic and standard import vehicles, $160/hour for European vehicles, and $200/hour for qualifying diesel vehicles, plus applicable parts and mobile service charges.

Mobile service charges are based on distance. Service is currently free within 10 miles of downtown Spokane, with distance-based mobile charges for areas farther away. Contact us with your location and we can let you know the applicable mobile service charge before your appointment.

No. Sypher’s Mobile Mechanic does not currently provide tire installation or tire repair. We recommend using a qualified local tire shop for mounting, balancing, tire replacement, and tire repair services.

We can diagnose many engine and transmission-related problems, but we do not perform complete engine or transmission removal and rebuilds. Our diagnostic service can help determine what is wrong and whether the vehicle needs a repair that can be completed through our mobile service or should be referred to a specialty shop.

No. We do not provide vehicle lockout or locksmith services. Because lockout work requires specialized services and licensing, we recommend contacting a qualified automotive locksmith if your keys are locked inside your vehicle.

Yes. We can provide mobile diagnostics, maintenance, and qualifying repairs for business and commercial fleet vehicles throughout the Spokane area. Mobile fleet service can help businesses reduce downtime by bringing automotive service directly to the vehicles. Please note that we do not service semi-trucks.
